Day 1:Tangier-Chefchaouen-Fes

 In Erfoud, perched on the edge of the Sahara, we’ll continue our 4 days in morocco deeper into the desert sands to our Luxury Camp, set amidst the dunes of the vast Sahara. Enjoy a camel ride over the dunes and watch the sun set over the desert as you refresh with a cup of traditional Moroccan mint tea. Later, we’ll dine on fine Moroccan fare served under a canopy of stars. Before retiring to your private tent, enjoy Berber music and congenial conversation around the campfire.

Day 3: Merzouga-Berber Vilages-Todra Gorges-Dades Valley

Waking early we will climb the sand dunes to see the sun come up over the desert. The sands are always changing, but our experienced drivers know the undulations and slopes of the surrounding dunes, and that they will take us to a fantastic viewpoint to enjoy the sunrise. We’ll watch the sun’s first golden rays strike the tawny desert dunes and then return to our encampment for a hearty breakfast.

Then leaving the desert behind, we will begin our trip towards Rissani, the 17th-century palace that rose to prominence in the days before the Alawite dynasty came to power. On the nearby ruins of Abbar Palace, you’ll hear the wonderful tale of its former resident’s disgraced members of the Alawi family who were exiled to live here and almost abandoned, just as the city was.

Break time for Lunch

As we make our road through the stunning Todra Gorge, we will marvel at the steep canyon walls that rise over 500 feet on either side; Although not long in terms of distance or duration, this stretch of our journey is one of the most memorable drives you will ever make! After a lunch break at a charming restaurant at the foot of the canyons, we’ll trip to the DADES River Valley, where groves and villages surround arid hills and desert rock formations.   

Our tour continues along the legendary 1000 kasbah road. Tracing the ancient caravan route, this cruise punctuates stunning canyons and valleys, fortified old towns and hilltop castles, and even some 19th century apartment complexes built with distinctive medieval kasbah walls. Tonight we will enjoy an à la carte dinner and a restful overnight at Riad, an enchanting Riad-style hotel on the edge of the desert.

Day 4: DADES Valley–Ouarzazate–Ait-Ben Haddou–Marrakech
