Day 1: Overnight desert camel trekking Merzouga - desert Erg Chebbi dunes
We will pick you up at our hotel and then take a leisurely shower. Pack a small bag with your essentials for a night in the desert and leave the rest of your gear behind. We’ll ride camels in Erg Chebbi’s sand dunes, giving you a chance to take incredible photos of the sunset. Upon reaching the Center camel camp, we’ll trek to the top of the sand dunes to watch the sunset as we dust off the sand.
Camel excursion program and 1 night in Merzouga
You arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, where you will meet your guide. Camel Excursion: The excursion usually starts around 4-5 PM. Duration: The camel ride lasts approximately 1-2 hours, depending on the location of the desert camp. Day 2: Camp - Camel trekking - Merzouga:
At sunrise, you’ll climb the sand dunes in the desert. While the sands may shift, our skilled drivers know the nearby dunes’ slopes and undulations and will guide you to an ideal viewing spot for the sunrise. When you return to your camp, you’ll be treated to a substantial breakfast after experiencing the first golden rays of sunshine touching the tan-colored desert dunes.
Traditional Dinner: Upon arrival at the camp, you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars. Entertainment: Some excursions include live traditional Berber music. Accommodation: You can choose between basic tents or luxury tents, which offer more amenities. Sunrise: You will wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes, an impressive spectacle.
