Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga - (Dunes Erg Chabbi):
Breakfast, You will start early today for a drive through the average Atlas Mountains to reach the brim of the Sahara. Late in the afternoon, set off by camel to a desert camp deep in the dunes (Erg Chebbi). Learn how to tie a turban to keep the desert sun off your face and add a little glow to your photos. Enjoy a cozy welcome (with mint tea). A traditional dinner beneath the stars, cooked by our hosts, awaits. In the evening, listen to stories about life in this region and, perhaps, some traditional music on the drums. Additional Notes: Notes to set up the tents of the Sahara camp:There will be an opportunity repack and take only bags overnight to the desert. The accommodations are basic, with four people per tent (though feel free to sleep out under the stars). Bathroom facilities are.....nature. Mattresses with sheet and blanket are provided. For winter months (Nov- April), we recommend bringing a sleeping bag for additional warmth. Private Vehicle (10.30 hours)) Ride out to the tented camp for the night. Day 2: Merzouga - Bedouin Family - Erg Chebbi - Desert Exploration -4¤4 Dunes Mountain Adventure Trek:
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the sand dunes in the desert. After these lovely moments, you will ride your camel back to the hotel where you can get a shower and breakfast. You will then have a tour of the sand dunes on the 4x4 which allows you to visit the black volcanic rocks of the excavations, visit a Bedouin family living in a tent, a visit to the village of Khamlia, and entertainment spiritual music Gnawa, Visit the lake, which is a Diet seller in the spring that attracts pink flamingos and wildlife season. Then you will have a break for lunch at Al-Risani.This silent city was the old capital of Tafilalet and its location also brought a junction between the north and south of the city to the important position of the center of the main convoy in the past. So far, Risani remains a major trading hub in the region, with a large market, particularly beautiful on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Leather and goats were observed trading their skin in ancient times. After lunch, you will see the irrigation canal system and be walking on an oasis located at the foot of the sand dunes. Continue in your hotel for a relaxing shower, then take some of your luggage in a small bag (what a night need in the desert) and leave other luggage at the hotel. Then we'll ride camels in the dunes of the Erg Chebbi. This is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset. When we arrive at the Centrek camel camp we walk to the top of the sand dunes to pluck the sand and watch the sunset.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi - Rissani - Todra Gorges:
After having breakfast, camel trek back to the hotel at the dune line for a quick shower. We leave the Sahara desert dunes of Erg Chebbi, an off-road drive across the hamada (black Desert) to get to the Sahara town of Rissani, optional visit of the animated local market. Afterwards, we head north to Erfoud that is known for the fossils; here we can stop to visit a fossil workshop before we continue to the impressive Todra canyons, known for rock climbing, where you can hike before we check into to the hotel, Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Dades Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate:
Breakfast at the hotel, we begin our journey along the road of 1000 Thousand Kasbahs, since there are enormous kasbahs on both sides of the road. Some of those old fortified houses are restored but unfortunately a lot of them are ruins. We pass through Dades valley and go up to the mountainous area through an off-road trail where many Berber villages and few nomads living in caves, here we will have the chance to visit one of this families and take a look at their daily life and their main activity Looking after herds of goats cheep . We will be impressed by the landscapes of the colorful rose valley before we reach Skoura palm grove. 45km further, we reach Ouarzazate for the dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - High Atlas - Marrakech:
After breakfast we will visit Taourirt Kasbah before departing to Ait Benhaddou to visit the World Heritage Site. We will continue with a visit to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech.
