10 Days Grand Morocco Tour From Tangier to Erg Chebbi

DAY 1 : Tangier - Asilah

the trip : 10 Days Tour From Tangier starts at, Pick up at the Tangier airport and transfer to Asilah, a beautiful and quiet coastal town just 30 kilometers from Tangier. Free time to stroll through its medina of white houses with artistic murals and enjoy the views from the viewpoint. Overnight in Asilah.

DAY 2 : Asilah - Tetouan - Chefchaouen

We continue our route after breakfast. First we will pass by Tetuán, where you will have free time to visit its medina. Then we will continue towards the city of chaouen. Free time to stroll through its streets and between its old blue and white houses and contemplate its panoramic views. Accommodation in hotel.

DAY 3 : Chaouen - Roman Ruins of Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

We left for Meknes, skirting the Mamora forest. Arrival to Meknes and HISTORICAL CITY VISIT. To 27 km of Meknes are the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis (visit), and also visit the holy city of Moulay Idriss. Continue to Fez. Accommodation in a Hotel.

DAY 4 : Fes (Fes Medina with Your Local Guide)

Here we go for another adventure through intellectual capital of Fez who was considered the Mecca of the west and Africa.It Athena is the country’s largest city after Casablanca, with a population of 1 million is a city, capital and one of the four imperial cities. Fes is composed of three distinct parts, Fes el Bali, which is the oldest part surrounded by a high wall, where more than 9,000 narrow streets and allies. Fes-Jadid or Fez is the new home of the Mellah, the Jewish Quarter and the Ville Nouvelle (newest section of Fes) created during the French occupation. Fez el Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its medina is the largest in the world. Among its narrow streets and its allies is the oldest university in the world. The University of Al-Karaouine was founded in 859 and still operating today.

DAY 5 : Fes - Ifrane - Moulay Idriss - Monkey Forest - Merzouga Desert

We will go toward the desert along the way Merzouga. We will find a town called Ifrane, acharming and totally different from the rest of Morocco where is the Cedar Forest, here we can see a lot of monkeys where they we can feed and enjoy the many cedars that brings this forest. We will go through Midelt, located between the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas, we will stop for lunch and continue the route. We will continue the road to Erfoud crossing the ZizValley. Then we will drive to Merzouga where will you leave your luggage at the hotel and go to the desert by camel. Once in the Haima, you will have dinner and hear the drums echoing in the desert night and lie down in the tent.

DAY 6 : Merzouga - Erg Chebbi desert

The next morning you will wake up early to watch the sunrise. At midday we will visit anomad family. We will eat under the shade of a tree, you will see how the Berber pizza ismade and then will taste it. After lunch you will rest for a while, and later we will make a route through the desert. We will see an oasis in the desert in 4×4, also visit the town of Khamlia (village of the blacks) mines MIFISS and meet the Berber nomads of the desert… Then you shall return to the Haima, you will have dinner, play music again and will be staying in the tent.

DAY 7 : Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Dades valley

Your camel man will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise in your life. Then you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. En-route you won’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. Arriving late morning back in Merzouga and after shower in the guesthouse. We will leave for Rissani once Sijilmassa the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty, the current ruling family. With most of the woman veiled and men hooded, this is a very traditional Moroccan town. We’ll continue driving towards Agdez via Alnif and Tazarine, before we get to the fascinating Draa Valley at the edge of the Atlas Mountains. Its is along hundreds of Berber Kasbahs. Then, you will arrive at your accommodation in the evening. Finally, overnight in a traditional guest house in the valley with dinner and breakfast.

DAY 8 : Dades - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, we will start our trip by a visit of cinema studios found in Ouarzazate which is considered as Hollywood of Africa. Subsequently we will visit the all inclusive Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah as it has been named by Unesco in 1987. Ait Benhaddou is the World Heritage site that has been utilized as a setting for more than 20 movies incorporating "Gladiator" "Indiana Jones" and "Lawrence of Arabia". Revel in a stroll to investigate the universal Moroccan style of construction modeling in which the Kasbahs are constructed. We proceed our approach to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n'tichka pass. Stop for lunch up the center of the Atlas Mountains. Drop off at your riad or hotel in Marrakech.

DAY 9 : Marrakech Guided Tour

In the morning a full guided tour is scheduled to discover Marrakech is known as the “Red City”. Marrakech is the oldest and most important in the history of Moroccan imperial city. It is located near the foothills of the snow-capped Atlas. Like all ancient cities, Marrakech comprises both an old fortified city, La Medina, and a very modern city called Gueliz, built during the French occupation. Marrakech has the largest traditional market (souk) in Morocco and also has one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world, Djemaa el Fna. The square is filled with storytellers, water sellers, dancers, musicians and snake charming. At night the square becomes a huge open-air restaurant.

During our visit we will see the Koutoubia Mosque, built in the 12th century during the reign of the Almoravid dynasty. Let’s go through the streets and narrow allies in the old city. We will pass by “seven saints”, which during the reign of Moulay Ismail, the festival of the seven saints was founded by Sultan request. The tombs of several renowned figures were moved to Marrakech to attract pilgrims. Walk back to the hotel for dinner and night.

DAY 10 : Marrakech - Minara Airport
